ii)When buying a home there is Property Purchase Tax on the purchase price of 1% on the first $200,000 and 2% on the balance.
iii)G.S.T. is applicable on all new construction and land; there may be rebates for purchases under $480,000.
iv)When selling a non-principal residence keep in mind that you may incur a Capital Gain or a Capital Loss. If you are unsure please check with your accountant for clarification.
